Survival of the fittest: Essex Bootcamp
Essex Boot Camp: Empowering, educating and encouraging individuals to exercise
Back in 2006 an ex-royal marine commando, Glynn Roberts and sports scientist James Sweeney, joined forces to create a revolutionary fitness phenomenon: Essex Boot Camp
(EBC). From starting out in Beaulieu Park with just four members, little did they know that eight years on their love and passion for fitness would be strengthening the bodies and minds of 6,000 individuals across the UK. The intention behind setting up EBC was to offer a new, fresh and different approach to conventional gym fitness programmes - a varied, non-repetitive exercise regime. With 30 years experience in the fitness industry between them, Glynn and James truly are the ultimate health and fitness gurus. After the most challenging time of his life spent in the Royal Marines, Glynn developed an addiction for getting people through commando training. His obsession with fitness and passion for having a positive mental attitude towards achieving goals and never giving up is injected into every individual he works with, creating real results every time. With nine years spent working in the fitness industry, along with professional athletes and footballers, James has developed a keen desire to get more people exercising. His main priority for clients is to make their training simple and fun. This, alongside Glynn’s military approach to challenging and pushing his clients to the limit, is the perfect pairing to get individuals on their way to achieving their fitness goals. For a real challenge and a rewarding sense of achievement, dig out your trainers and get in touch with Glynn and James to kick-start your fitness journey and become part of the EBC community.
