The Roslin’s seafront location is stunning, as is their restaurant, together with its inviting al fresco terrace. Choosing from this menu was difficult to say the least - it all sounds wonderful! My ham hock terrine to start was faultless. Seasoned perfectly, it was a delight to eat with the accompanying celeriac remoulade, pickled mushrooms and toasted brioche.
Topped with a herb crusted poached egg, Mrs Exquisite’s pea and asparagus risotto was simply perfect. The fish here doesn’t get much fresher. My mackerel fillet, with chorizo braised leeks and celeriac purée made the perfect main course.
Mrs Exquisite on the other hand, enjoyed an Aberdeen Angus rib-eye steak, cooked rare, with crispy triple-cooked chips, it was delicious to say the least. To finish this wonderful meal, I just had to have the rich hazelnut torte with Baileys ice cream. Mrs Exquisite’s strawberries and cream panna cotta was fresh and light; a perfect end to a perfect evening.
