It has been reported that superstar Rihanna is renting Osea Island to record her new album.

So, it's official, Rihanna is recording new music! And to many people's surprise, she has swapped the likes of Barbados for Essex.

The source told The Mirror that the 31-year-old is working in a deluxe studio on the island, boasting a gym, cinema, pool and range of little cottages, all of which is owned by music producer Nigel Frieda. 

The source said: "Rihanna has invited family to spend time with her while she works. She's had a few stints in the studio since her last album, but she's been really focused on her makeup, clothing and lingerie lines. But since she moved to London, she has had friends and family staying with her so she can work at her own pace, surrounded by the people she loves."
