The Tiny Toes classes are run by local dance teacher Natalie Cawley who has been dancing since the age of four. She also boasts a BA (Hons) Degree in Dance &and Musical Theatre from the Urdang Academy, London.
Natalie has performed on stage in the roles of Princess Jasmine in Aladdin and has experience in many iconic roles at Disneyland Paris. About the new opening, Natalie stated: “Ballet has always been my passion and so I was looking for something that would bring together my knowledge and experience and my enjoyment of working with young children. I spent years saying that one day I'd have my own school. When I found Tiny Toes Ballet, I knew I couldn't miss the opportunity.”
She is particularly impressed by the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum element of the Tiny Toes syllabus.
“I've worked with the early years age group for many years and it is so vital that we are all following the same important steps to enhance child development,” she says. “The lesson plans are so detailed, fun and educational. And there are new ideas launching all the time so the opportunity for growth is huge. I want to show how important dance is to a child's natural development, inspire a new generation and to share my love for this wonderful art.”
The founder of Tiny Toes, Emma Morgan, spoke about the appointment of Natalie: “I’ve been hugely impressed by Natalie’s enthusiasm, commitment and understanding of the Tiny Toes concept,” she says. “It’s always exciting welcoming more children to our community of tiny dancers, and I’m looking forward to visiting Essex to see how everyone is getting on.”
