Horror-on-Sea Film Festival
Southend’s very own Horror-on-Sea Film Festival returns in January 2019 and promises to be the biggest, scariest and, arguably, best yet.
Back for its 8th year, Britain's biggest independent horror moive festival returns and it promises to be its scariest yet.
Running across the two weekends of the 11th-13th and the 18th-20th January you can be sure to get a fright or two with an abundance of the spookiest films to have ever graced the big screen on offer. Hosted by The White Bus at the Park Inn by Radisson Palace Hotel on Southend's seafront, the festival will showcase some of the best horror films from independent filmmakers and budding directors.
Horror-on-Sea's director and creator, Paul Cotgrove is always keen to showcase the best independent films at the festival, saying, "If I see something and think ‘wow, the audience will love this’, then it is automatically put into the schedule."
The festival has also seen great success over the years as it allowed filmmakers and horror fans alike to meet and discuss thoughts and ideas with eachother.
“We’ve had to spread the festival across two weekends, as we have had so many submissions from up-and-coming film makers and there are just so many good quality, independent films to show. In fact, across the six days of the festival, we’ll be screening from 10am to midnight.”
