Speaking on the hit single What Is Love, Howard says the messages in the song have not changed: “I feel the same as I did then, which is that for a relationship to work, to be really in love with somebody, you have to know who you are.
And they have to know who they are. And then you kind of face the world together, rather than you clutching to the apron strings of the other person for their support. This is my philosophy about that, really. You can't be dependent on another person. You have to know yourself so that you can then stand on your own. Only then can you have a great relationship with somebody. So that's really what that song is indicating.”
Howard's upcoming record Transform will be one of his most exciting albums yet which will see him working with US producer, BT.
The British singer is excited to have worked with the American producer saying: “I have been a huge fan of BT’s for many years, we finally met and have been working and developing two new songs which I am really excited about, he is beyond doubt one of the most gifted electronic musicians out there.”
Howard Jones' upcoming album ‘Transform’ is set to be released in May 2019.
