WeSwap have exclusively revealed that solo female holidays have increased by a total of 131% with three in five women seeing travel as an "essential" part of their health and wellbeing. So, as part of International Women's Day, we have compiled a list of the best destinations for solo female travellers with the help of WeSwap.
With modern day women travelling the world alone more often, and British Airways revealing 50% of women have taken a solo trip, solo travel is becoming much more popular.
The travel experts at WeSwap have released the top eight destinations for women wanting to travel alone, taking into account the top-rated safe spots to recommended destinations from travellers themselves.
Through a nationally representative sample of more than 2,000 adults in the UK, the results also found that 56% of women thought their health and wellbeing increased whilst on holiday, peaking on the eight day.
34% of women believe their number one savings goal is for holidays, with 38% saying spending money on a holiday is more important than any other activity.
Based on user feedback across their customer base and extended research, WeSwap have recommended the following eight destinations for solo female travellers based on safety and quality of experience.
