The Lion Inn Review
Exquisite takes a look at one of Essex’s busiest venues…
The Lion Inn restaurant is a vibrant yet decadent bistro pub situated not far from the beautiful Boreham house, just 1/2 a mile from the A12. There is such a unique twist and feel to this venue you can not help but stop and stare as you try to take in the many different antique pieces and salvaged furniture.
The design in itself is one of mastery vision. Although one of the busiest venues in Essex, the extremely clever lighting hits on every table making sure that the intimacy of private dining is achieved. The bustle of the busiest venue in Essex quickly gets left behind, subtlety places into the background. A fabulous open planned kitchen displaying the keen hard working chefs is the main focal point. The Lion Inn is an Alice in Wonderland trove of space, with hidden sections to dine.
No bookings are taken for this hugely successful eatery. Get there early and enjoy an aperitif at the bar, stay at the hotel or opt for a party of more than 10.
Amazing Sunday roasts that have new visitors and regulars queuing.
Our Secret Diner...
A fabulous venue, I absolutely loved the vibrant feel and the lovely bar to keep us entertained whilst we are seated. A completely new concept in dining , (we will let you see why) with so many specials it is hard to choose. Considering how busy The Lion Inn is, the quality, taste and attention to every detail of this meal is incredible. The calamari was marvellous, so soft it could have been caught just before serving and the homemade burger was absolutely one of the best we have ever tried.
