A place to escape the City
Rake's is a day to night eating and drinking destination located next to Liverpool Street Station. The café bar features a lounge area, private dining room and a pergola adorned main space.
Open six days a week, Rake's offers simple and comforting food alongside fantastic coffee and a specially crafted cocktail menu of modern and classic favourites. Guests can snack, eat and drink throughout the day and will be hosted by a team of individual characters, all with a love of wine, food and cocktails - There is no formality, no rules.
Rake's houses three relaxed spaces, each with a touch of the peculiar. The Front Room - location of the main café bar and home to varying DJ's from Thursday to Saturday nights. The Parlour - the lounge area complete with sofas, a place to relax and escape the City and finally No.3 - a secret room that can be closed off and booked for private parties.
Day to night drinking and dining
From power breakfasts and Saturday brunch to social snacks, Rake's menu is representative of he eclectic culinary tastes and different cultures found in London today. The dishes combine stories of travel, trade and culture through exotic ingredients and flavours.
During the morning commute, take away breakfast is available alongside freshly brewed coffee. Breakfast and brunch favouties from the menu include the Rake's Benedict - a combination of cured ham, avocado, hollandaise and poached Burford Browns and the Walnut Waffle served with lemon crème fraiche, berry compote and rose honey syrup.
Those visiting later in the day can expect sharing plates including Burrata with smashed peas, mint and lemon, Salt and Pepper Squid with tricoloured aioli, Corn Fed Chicken and Chorizo Croquettes and Srirachi Sesame Cauliflower Wings with Cashew Sauce. Larger plates include Butter Milk Chicken Burger, Tagliatelle with Devon Crab, Cherry Tomatoes and Red Chilli and the Rake's Rainbow Salad.
Contemporary cocktails vary from "The Orgy" - imbued with fruit based liquors, cava and ginger ale to the "The Heir" - with Mezcal, lemon and grapefruit juice and chilli infused agave syrup. Non-alcoholic cocktails such as the DD with seedlip spice, peach puree, lime juice and soda, will also be available.
