New Wellness Retreat

at IMS Ibiza

Sunshine, nature, music and health…

Sometimes we all just need time to relax, unwind and free our minds of stress and day-to-day problems. A wellness retreat gives you the chance to escape the mundane schedule and responsibilities of everyday life and travel to a beautiful destination that not only allows you to recharge and rejuvenate, but also can change your outlook on life itself.

Remedy State is a wellness platform advocating self-care within the Arts & Entertainment industry through mindfulness, exercise, physical therapy, medical evaluation, and nutritional guidance. It is launching in association with the International Music Summit (IMS) in Ibiza.

Founded by Ben Turner and Blaise James DeAngelo, Remedy State is a three-day holistic retreat designed by music professionals, that aims to help party-addled bodies, brains and spirits to regain center while learning how to keep that clarity once the beat kicks back in.

Attendees will meet with nutritionists and dietitians, practice daily yoga and meditation, enjoy plant-based meals and attend keynote lectures and motivational talks. Those taking part will receive 1-on-1 consultations with Dr. Ahmed Ali and nutritional therapist Catherine Arnold, breathing workshops by Mindful Talent, and a nature walk led by Walking Ibiza.

The platform is inspired by the practices of Ayurveda and Integrated Medicine, which combines Traditional Eastern medicine and complementary medicine and focuses on harnessing the body’s innate healing power to prevent illness and promote overall well-being.

Remedy State IMS Ibiza will be an extremely intimate affair, so badges are very limited. Retreat badges start at the introductory rate of €340.

A very limited number of on-site accommodation packages at Sa Talaia are available for an additional €900 (3 nights).

Why mindfulness is essential for wellbeing

Spirituality, mindfulness and meditation can get a bad rep from a few cynics. The ‘hippy-dippy’ vibe does not suit everyone, but this ‘hippy-dippy’ stereotype is just that. Being mindful can be of great benefit to everyone. Meditation is not about sitting with your legs crossed making “ommmm” sounds whilst choking on the smell of an incense stick. If anything, it’s the complete opposite. It’s giving your mind a complete break from all the things running through it and this has been proven to have great benefits to your overall health. “Meditation has been shown to reduce daily stress and perceived stress. It’s also been shown to promote subtle improvements in focus, attention and the ability to ignore distractions.” Headspace Taking time for yourself is an integral part of maintaining your mental health. And looking after your mind and body is the best investment in life. Changing your mindset can leave you calmer, more patient and less prone to stress. Plus, you will sleep easier and your focus will be restored. Not having the time is a common excuse from people, but adidas Global Ambassador, personal trainer and all-round fitness, lifestyle and well-being social media goddess, Zanna Van Dijk, is the perfect example of someone who is always on the go and yet still manages to create a healthy balance in life by taking time out for herself. What drew you to mindfulness and meditation? I started on this journey as a result of reading about meditation in a series of self-development books. I had previously thought it wasn’t something for me, but after a gentle introduction to it through guided apps (such as Calm and Headspace) I found great value in it; and it’s become part of my daily life. Mindfulness for me is a whole lifestyle and something which I’ve developed over time as my self-awareness and self-development has progressed. What does mindfulness mean to you and how does it benefits your life? For me mindfulness is being conscious in the everyday. This ultimately allows me to truly experience every moment to its fullest, allowing a greater sense of fulfilment. It also allows me to experience more gratitude and to find positives each day, as well as continue my self-development through daily reflections. Meditation calms my mind and helps me to develop control over my thoughts, so that my thoughts don’t control who I am.  Top Spa Choices
