Roslin Beach Hotel completes major refurb

The four-star Roslin Beach Hotel underwent some exciting new redevelopments in 2016, bringing a new level of luxury to Southend-on-Sea.

The Roslin is a beautiful seaside retreat with 59 rooms, including three luxurious suites and 18 executive rooms, situated in a tranquil location opposite the award-winning beach in Southend-on-Sea.  

All of the hotel’s modern, en suite rooms have been newly refurbished. The hotel also offers complimentary onsite parking, free Wi-Fi and use of its gym facilities. 

Simply ballroom

The hotel recently launched its newly-extended Tides ballroom with floor-to-ceiling bay windows overlooking the Thames Estuary. This stunning new space blends classic and contemporary styling with special touches, such as a beautiful antique mirror and brass bar, vintage gold panels and four opulent chandeliers. The outside area has a sweeping balcony and terrace with extensive seating that’s perfect for taking in the views.

This ever-growing hotel is becoming one of Southend’s most popular venues for weddings and receptions. There is a choice of exquisite menus and a team of professional and friendly staff.

Afternoon tea
and cocktails

The Roslin Beach Hotel serves up traditional English afternoon tea in the Tides Ballroom. Teas and freshly-brewed coffee are served on fine-bone china and homemade sandwiches, scones and cakes are presented on a three-tier cake stand.

If you fancy something stronger, you can enjoy a cocktail on the nautical-style terrace, decked out with striped cushions, cream parasols and comfy rattan seating.

Sit and watch the sun go down with a chilled glass and some relaxed Ibiza lounge music. On cooler summer evenings, the hotel switches on its outdoor heaters and provides blankets to wrap up in.

Pamper in style

The Roslin Retreat is a relaxing and rejuvenating area with plenty of face and body treatments to choose from and a team of highly trained, friendly therapists.

The Roslin celebrates Wimbledon with new menu

Wimbledon Fortnight is upon us once again and to commemorate this fine sporting event, The Roslin Beach Hotel has come up with a special afternoon tea, to tickle your taste buds and to get you in the mood for tennis. All the favourites are there but Head chef, Kaine Moseley, and his team, have obviously been getting into creative mood with their desserts and will be serving up more than one or two aces. A vivid passionfruit macaroon and crumbling shortbread biscuit, cut and baked into the form of a racket, are just two knowing touches on the menu to the sport. All to be complimented by an excellent selection of teas, wines and crisp, chilled fizz. Booking is essential, but if you want to dine on the alfresco terrace, it’s first-come, first-served, so make sure you arrive early if you want to take advantage of the stunning views across the estuary. And if you are driving, just ask your waiter or waitress for ‘deuce.’ They should pick up the ball on that one quite quickly!
