"We were thrilled to be able to attend another book club event at Galvin Green Man, this time with Spanish chef José Pizarro. As usual, the turnout was jam-packed - these events are always a sell out! Chris Galvin and José Pizarro started with an insightful Q&A, discussing all things new about his cook book and what we were about to eat.
We started the meal with two mini croquetas filled with a silky oxtail filling and coated with a crispy batter - they were little bites of heaven. Paired with a rich, creamy sauce, the combination was sublime.
The first course was a refreshing prawn dish, accompanied with a zesty mango salad boasting hints of chilli. I loved the saltiness of the prawns and how light the dish was when eaten altogether. Lastly, we enjoyed a crispy chicken dish paired with a zingy sauce and colourful, fresh and crunchy salad.
