Maldon Oyster and Seafood Shucking Competition 2019
This year, the Maldon Oyster festival will be putting on a challenge with a range of champions taking part.
The Challenge: Open 30 oysters and then ring a hand bell in as quick a time as is humanly possible.
Judge: Beverly Perkins who is advisor to the shellfish association of Great Britain and a member of the Kent and Essex fisheries and conservation authority.
Taking part: Last year's winner Fredrik Lindfors, seafood connoisseur Slawomir Kozanecki and local oyster guy Bobby Groves who has just released a book on his Oyster adventures.

The competition will close on Friday 6th September 2019 and the winner will be selected randomly and announced via our Facebook and Twitter feed.

Please note the winner must respond to our email by 7th September or the prize will be given to the runner up. The tickets cannot be exchanged for monetary value.
