Having played host to some of the world's finest horse racing for over 200 years, Goodwood in Chichester has been providing exhilarating racing since 1802. Goodwood is not only the home of horse racing but also features some of the best Motorsport racing as well as golf, shooting, cricket and a host of flagship events.
Their iconic events include the three day Goodwood Revival festival celebrating the halcyon days from the 40s to the 60s, as well as the Qatar Goodwood Festival of horse racing and the Festival of Speed featuring the world's most luxurious cars. The Goodwood Estate also features some of the most luxurious facilities including some of the finest cuisine, the Kennels club and a state-of-the-art health club.
Goodwood racecourse is set in one of Britain's most historic and magnificent estates with a wealth of history. Horse racing was introduced to the Goodwood estate from the Third Duke of Richmond to benefit the Sussex Militia officers with a course named 'The Harroway'. Horseracing was suspended during the Second World War and in 1953 it had significantly grown in popularity seeing thousands attending the races.
