Linden House is just two miles from Stansted Airport and 40 minutes to Central London and Cambridge from the village train station. Our nine boutique bedrooms have been recently renovated, with the guidance of an award-winning interior designer. They are spread over two early Victorian half-timbered buildings linked by an attractive terrace. There is a friendly bar with traditional copper-top tables, still used by the local community, that gives the feeling of a traditional inn. Next to it is a panelled meeting hall with high tables and a breakfast/dining room.
The Vine Restaurant can seat up to fifty guests, and holds monthly tasting events. Cheerful warmth radiates from the wood-burning stoves, and the walls are hung with art that ranges from 17th century Dutch flower studies to works by contemporary Baltic Abstract Expressionists.
The terraces at the Vine are a great spot for summer evening drinks. Relax with some food and drink - on a sunny day, this spot is an absolute gem! Of course there’s always something to have a look at inside too with some stunning artworks on display.
Linden House is a peaceful guest house situated in the ancient village of Stansted Mountfitchet. With a five-star rating from Visit England, Linden House has nine boutique bedrooms, a restaurant, and a well-stocked bar, featuring real ales, craft beers, more than 30 gins and over 100 wines.
