We provide an environment in which happy, healthy children may grow and develop both academically and socially so that each child reaches their full potential and moves forward in the world as a confident, well rounded individual. Great Warley caters for children from three months, in the Little Acorns Day Nursery, to 11 years of age.
The children are offered a wide curriculum taught in a creative way, including Numeracy, Literacy, Science, ICT, Humanities, Art, Design Technology, Drama, Music, French and Spanish, Games, Gym and Swimming.
Children are encouraged to take part in a wide variety of extracurricular activities and to share their talents with the wider community through performances and competition.
Woodlands Great Warley has specialist teachers who encourage our children to develop their sporting, creative and language skills. We ensure that each child’s individual talents are developed and all their needs are met, while setting high academic expectations of each child. Our facilities include a gym, indoor heated swimming pool, cross country track, nature trail, Drama and Music rooms set across nearly 10 acres of grounds.
Woodlands children are well prepared for secondary school selection and we have excellent relationships with our local grammar schools, independent schools and state schools and we ensure that each child moves on to the right school for them.
Woodlands School Great Warley, close to the popular commuter towns of Brentwood and Upminster, is a co-educational day school for children aged three to 11.
The school is enriched by a creative arts suite, large gymnasium, pupil-managed vegetable garden and a nature trail, creating a wonderful balance between academic and leisure pursuits. The school also boasts an indoor pool and a dining hall. Within the school is Little Acorns, a separate day nursery for children aged between three months to five years, from 7.30am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year. The nursery is within a purpose-made building neighbouring the Foundation Stage classrooms with adjoining playgrounds, so the nursery is very much part of the school.
